What is Koprol?
Koprol is a mobile social networking site that connects you with people around you.
Koprol allows you to share your short postings, location, photos, reviews, with your friends and also other people nearby. With Koprol you'll know where your friends are and what's happening around you.
I'm already on Facebook, why should I use Koprol?
- Koprol connects you to the real world around you. While most social networks make you stay in front of the computer, Koprol goes with you as you roll around town and find friends to meet in real life.
- Koprol is specifically designed for Indonesian cities. It has a growing database of places based on where people really go. The servers are local so Koprol keeps going when your international connection goes shaky. It's geared for city lifestyle by helping social activities around work schedules and traffic jams.
- Koprol can update your Facebook and Twitter status. With one post on Koprol, all your Facebook friends and Twitter followers can know where you are and what you're doing.
How does Koprol work? Give me some examples.
- When you're walking around in a shopping mall, type the name of the mall and check in. See who just visited, which shops they went to, and which hangouts are hot.
- When you're having lunch or dinner out, type the name of the restaurant or cafe and check in. See who's been there and their short reviews. Take a picture and post it. A friend might be nearby and can join you. After you're finished, add your own review.
- When you're at work or at home, type the name of the office building or neighborhood and check in. See what's happening in the area. Before you go out, search your destination and see what people say about its traffic and weather.

You can save any place as 'Favorites'. They are like bookmarks for places.

How do I post to my stream?
- Look for the big text box on the homepage or your current place page.
- In 140 characters or less, write what you are doing or what's happening around you. Then click 'Post'.

You may attach one photo along with each post.
- Write a description in the text box
- Click 'Add a Photo' right below it to choose an image file from your computer.

Make sure the photo is yours and not copyrighted.
How do I post and automatically check in to a place?
You can make a post that at the same time checks you in to a Favorite place. Start your post with the name of your favorite between two hash characters. For example:
